Wide snorkeller

Hello, Illustration Friday! I enjoyed this piece a lot- I've been hankering to do an underwater scene, and adding a buoyant snorkeller with ample dimensions seemed to fit the bill. this lady is becoming a recurring theme in my work...this is an earlier piece.
This particular girl had a ten second short made for her, which you can see here:

I've also added a work in progress GIF. It's charcoal, pastel and photoshop. XJP

This piece is so much fun - I love how the woman's shape echoes the fishy shapes and great use of red in the midst of the cooler colors. I checked out the rest of your site and your octopus is wonderful! I like your style.

Yours is the classy kind of work which makes the beginner wonder if they shouldn't take up knitting instead. But perhaps it's best if I seek inspiration here.

Oh she's terrific! I love the short. Can't help but wonder what she's do if you animated her snorkeling. Great work!

The illustration of the woman in the car is genius! The shapes, color, and overall character really make that one stand out. Makes me want to work harder. :)

Wow! Great piece! Actually both are great. And you use pastel. Is that your usual medium?

Thanks everyone for your kind words...

Connie, I still feel like a beginner, but thanks!

Eric, i tend to draw in charcoal and pastel- I love chunkiness :)
